The sustainable management of forest resources today clearly requires

the understanding and cooperation of multiple sectors in society.

To enable this, the Sabah Forestry Department (SFD) has developed iHUTAN

official websites, of significance, with more informative and innovation

recreational centres with facilities to foster education for young generation,

the preservation of local communities and cultures and awareness activities.

These centres are designed to promote an understanding of "what is special"
within the forests of Sabah, but more so to inspire a sense of appreciation
for forest resources generally and their sustainable management.
